Blasts rock Baghdad as US Embassy air defenses engage targets

Shafaq News- Baghdad Explosions were heard across parts of the Iraqi capital on Saturday as air defenses at the US Embassy in Baghdad’s Green Zone were activated to intercept incoming objects, a security source told Shafaq News. The source said warning sirens sounded inside the embassy compound as its air defense systems engaged unidentified aerial objects, which had not yet been confirmed as rockets or drones. The blasts were heard in several areas of Baghdad, though there were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
