Gold prices rise in Baghdad, slip in Erbil markets

Shafaq News- Baghdad/ Erbil Gold prices rose in Baghdad on Tuesday, while recording a slight decline in Erbil, according to a Shafaq News market survey. In Baghdad’s wholesale markets on Al-Nahr Street, the selling price of one mithqal (five grams) of 21-carat Gulf, Turkish, and European gold reached IQD 1.063 million, while the buying price stood at IQD 1.059 million, compared with IQD 1.059 million in the previous session. The selling price of Iraqi 21-carat gold was recorded at IQD 1.032 million, with a buying price of IQD 1.029 million. In local jewelry stores, the selling price of Gulf 21-carat gold ranged between IQD 1.065 million and IQD 1.075 million, while Iraqi gold traded between IQD 1.035 million and IQD 1.045 million per mithqal. In Erbil, gold prices edged lower, with 22-carat gold selling at around IQD 1.157 million, 21-carat at IQD 1.105 million, and 18-carat at IQD 948,000.
