Iraq's Directorate of Industrial Development has issued 158 licences for new industrial projects during November, covering food, chemical, metal, construction, textile and engineering sectors.

Baghdad received 46 licences, followed by Nineveh (17), Basra (15), Anbar (10), Karbala (7), and additional allocations across Salahuddin, Najaf, Wasit, Diyala, Babylon and others.

The directorate also issued 25 completion certificates for fully established projects under the Industrial Investment Law No. 20 of 1998, and provided other services such as land-allocation letters, licence reactivation, ID renewals and electronic field inspections nationwide.

The Directorate reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the private sector and streamlining project establishment procedures to stimulate industrial activity and strengthen the national economy.
