Shafaq News- Washington/ Tehran The Pentagon said Tuesday that military operations against Iran remain in their “early phase,” as US forces confirmed carrying out more than 1,700 strikes since the campaign began on Saturday. In a statement, a senior Defense Department official said “Israeli forces are leading much of the offensive,” conducting a substantial share of the operations as Washington maintains parallel action. US Central Command (CENTCOM) reported that American strikes are targeting sites tied to Iran’s security apparatus, aiming to dismantle its operational infrastructure.
